If your child/children participate in any before school activity, such as band, art club or BOKS, please drop off at the front entrance. A staff member will be in the front lobby to greet them.

A Message From Our School Nurse, Mrs. Haley

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The annual postural screening will be done during the month of November, starting on the 1st. The purpose of this screening is to find early signs of possible spinal problems in children in grades 5 and 6. It is not a diagnostic service but a program to identify young people who should have further medical evaluations. This screening is required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in grades 5 through 9.

If your child has any unusual findings, you will be notified. If no problems are identified you will not be contacted. If for any reason you do not wish for your son or daughter to participate in this program, a signed letter must be submitted to the school nurse.

If you have any questions, please contact me @ 781-293-5411 or via email at

Catherine Haley, RN, BSN, M.Ed.

School Nurse

A Message from our Art Teacher Mrs. Dunn

If you would prefer to have your child wear a smock in the art room, could you please have your child put one in their backpacks? They can bring the smocks with them to art class, and store them in their backpacks. It will be the student's responsibility to remember to bring them to class. Don’t forget to wash them periodically. Large/oversized old T-shirts work the best.

Digital Citizenship- Take the Pledge!

All week we have been sharing tips surrounding digital citizenship.

Our Digital Citizenship Resource Guide covers some key elements of digital citizenship that apply to all students, teachers, and parents such as;

  • What is Digital Citizenship?
  • Healthy Choices for Media Use
  • Protecting Privacy
  • Digital Footprints
  • Digital Etiquette

We hope this guide serves as a helpful resource so we can work together to make students online experience safer and easier.

Check our website here for additional updates and resources as we continue to teach our students how to be responsible digital citizens.

Kinship Care Support Group

Dear Families,

We are writing to let you know about the upcoming Kinship Support Group on Tuesday, November 27th at North Pembroke Elementary School from 6:30-7:30 pm.

This group was created because many children in Pembroke are being raised by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins or other close family members. These “kinship” families often have unique needs that may include physical, medical, social and emotional challenges.

This support group provides participants a chance to share their personal experiences with others who are in similar situations and are experiencing the same types of issues. The evening begins with families gathering together for pizza in the cafeteria. After eating, adults will meet in a small group for discussion and resource sharing while children participate in activities supervised by YMCA staff.

If you would like to join, you must REGISTER one-week prior by contacting Cheryl Larson at

We hope to see you there,

Cheryl Larson, LICSW

Elementary Social Worker

Easy Ways to Help Out

Box Top News: Keep sending in those Box Tops! Remember each Box Top is worth $0.10--they add up quickly! Last year we made over $1500 for Bryantville. Please remember to cut the box tops out on the lines (this saves on shipping costs) and, if possible, attach them to a collection sheet that can be found at Remember- we can't submit expired box tops. Thanks for your help and support!

Baystate Textiles: Our school has a donation bin in the front parking lot. It is emptied weekly, and the PTO receives monthly rebate checks based on the weight of the donations. It is an easy way to recycle clothing, shoes, and linens. Clean out your closets and help our school at the same time!

Stop & Shop A+ Rewards: Already shop at Stop &Shop? Register your card on their website and select Bryantville Elementary School. The program runs from October through March and every time you shop it equals free money for our school! It couldn’t be easier! Check out the Bryantville PTO Facebook page for an easy link to set up your card.

Amazon Smile: To sign up, visit and select Bryantville Parent Teacher Organization as your charity. Amazon will remember your selection and prompt you to use this as your preferred page. The AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5% of eligible purchase right back to our school!
